Hope is not all lost, though you may actually still be able to find a way out.

Looking at your problem from a different perspective may open up the vistas of new solutions for you. A little creativity can go long away in helping you finish up with a problem. It can point out a lot of previously un-thought solutions to you.

The most important thing for this is the acceptance of existence of more than one solution to any problem. Also, you must be open to the idea that more than one workable solutions may still exist for a problem you have found to be unworkable.

It is good to have a positive outlook in such matters as it enables you to be more creative.

The first thing we have to accept is that our analysis of the problem may be wrong. This implies that we have been working in the wrong direction. It will require us to look at the whole problem from entirely different point of views to pinpoint the source of the problem. A proper analysis that chalks out the problem encountered and the factors contributing to it can lead to a more effective solution, and faster.

It is also essential to frame your problem into a simple statement. If you are unable to put down the problem in a sentence, you probably haven?t grasped it completely yet. You might want to observe and seek out the factors involved and their contribution to the problem. Note down any prospective losses or gains from the problem.

Next, put down all your inhibitions and your notions. These might often be the factors preventing a thorough understanding of the situation. You have to categorise these conjectures into applicable and non-applicable and address only the applicable ones.

Try to divide your problem into parts. Going through and solving the problem in bits provides a thorough solution. This approach of ?top-down? towards a problem lets you address the minutiae. Frame a question regarding the problem and seek a solution for it that can be written in a single sentence. This should also apply to the entire problem as a whole. Once you find the basic solution, you can keep adding to it to come up with a wholesome solution to the problem.

Be creative, logical as well as critical throughout the problem solving process. It helps you remain more open minded and you can analyse the pros and cons of all possible solutions, picking out the one that suits best and then modifying it to solve your problem entirely. Creativity is your weapon against any defects in a plan.

Try to work on more than one solution at a time. When you work on two or more parallel tracks, it is likely that you?ll come up with better solutions. You must be aware of the solutions and the possible ways they can be improved.

Two heads are better than one! You may want to believe this one. It is easier to brainstorm ideas in a team, especially when your colleagues are experienced in similar situations. Listening to all available alternatives with an open mind can often be very beneficial in terms of coming up with an all-encompassing solution.
Don?t try to become superman. Just don?t. You are not required to act like a martyr and go through difficulties alone to get to the root of the problem. An organised team to help your chain of thought is a wonderful asset to have and you must utilise it if you can.

Patience perseveres. As long as you patiently address the problem, with a calm mind, you will find a solution. Patience is the key. Rome was not built in one day!

You can perform a couple of exercises that build up the power of creative thinking. Here?s one.

Write a random word in the centre of a page, and then add words around it that you find are related to the central word. Build a word tree in this way. It improves your ability to link things.

Add page animations and transitions to your iPhone or iPad with DisplayCandy [jailbreak]

If you've got a jailbroken iPhone or iPad and you've grown bored with the stock page transitions (or lack thereof), DisplayCandy can make things a bit more interesting by adding animations for opening, closing, and switching between apps.

Once you've installed DisplayCandy to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch you'll notice that some default animations may already be selected. You can pop into your default Settings app to change them. From Settings you can control animations for each type of action separately which means you can choose different options for launching apps, closing apps, and switching between them. WOLFEBORO, N.H. (AP) ? Republican Mitt Romney, the first Mormon presidential nominee of a major political party, sat in the Wolfeboro Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday as, one by one, members of his congregation credited him for bringing the faith more into the public eye.

"There has never been as much positive publicity about the church...thanks to the wonderful campaign of Mitt Romney and his family," J.W. "Bill" Marriott, the chairman of Marriott International, said. Marriott was the first in the congregation to take the podium to offer testimony ? examples of his own life experience and how it's affected his faith, a tradition on the first Sunday of every month in the Mormon church.

"Everybody is looking at us and saying, 'Are you as good as the Romneys?'" Marriott said. "Today we see the church coming out of obscurity, and we see that 90 percent of what has been written and said ... 90 percent of it has been favorable," he said. "And that's a great tribute to Mitt and Ann."

Many Americans have long viewed Mormonism skeptically, and the Salt Lake City-based church has fought for decades for recognition and acceptance as a faith.

In the eyes of Mormons gathered here Sunday, Romney winning the nomination has been overwhelmingly positive for their church.

"He's a marvelous ambassador of who we are," said a member of the Archibald family, another large Mormon clan that, like the Marriotts and the Romneys, vacations in Wolfeboro.

The Marriotts and Romneys are close friends; the hotel magnate is a major campaign donor and the candidate used to serve on the board of Marriott International.

Although Romney has long shied away from talking about a faith that has shaped his life, from his childhood to his college years as well as his marriage and business career. He occasionally has recounted his time counseling families who were struggling members of his Boston congregation. He usually doesn't touch on his two years serving as a missionary in France for the church. And he typically doesn't mention that he at one point rose to a rank equivalent to a bishop and presided over a group of congregations.

In recent weeks, Romney has started to open up about his faith and directly mentioned it during his Thursday night acceptance speech after members of his congregation took the convention stage to praise his work in the church. Said Romney that night: "We were Mormons and growing up in Michigan, that might have seemed unusual or out of place, but I really don't remember it that way. My friends cared more about what sports teams we followed than what church we went to."

Mormonism began in the mid-1800s when, according to believers, an angel presented another book of scripture to Joseph Smith, the church's founder, called the Book of Mormon. With 14.4 million members, the church is among the fastest growing in the world, supported by a full-time missionary force of about 55,000 young people.

At church Sunday, Marriott talked about the church's efforts over the years to explain its mission to Americans who don't understand the faith.

He recounted serving on a committee based in Salt Lake City with Romney's father, George Romney, and then later being featured in a "60 Minutes" piece on the Mormon Church. During the interview, Marriott said he was asked about the specific undergarments, which he described as a t-shirt and boxer shorts, that Mormons are encouraged to wear. He said he told interviewer Mike Wallace that he wore the garments, and about a time when he caught fire in a boating accident. His polyester pants burned, though his undershorts were untouched.

Marriott said he told Wallace: "These holy undergarments saved my life."

Later, another church member rose to offer an example of Romney's influence in publicizing the faith.

She recalled a time when she visited a sick church member in the hospital and a non-Mormon nurse asked her why they had come to visit a woman who wasn't a relative.

The woman said she told the nurse she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

And the nurse, clearly recognizing the faith, responded: "Oh, Mitt! Oh, Mormon!"

Sitting in the pews, Ann Romney laughed.

I used to have a favourite online clothes website to scroll through, it?s rather expensive so I?ve been telling myself I?ll keep patrolling the website for when I find the one piece that steals my heart, and then I?ll treat myself to it. While scrolling tonight I realised it wasn?t the price that deterred me from ever purchasing any of their merchandise. It was the fact that they never use a model over the size of a small. It?s quite obvious that the models are as you would call a ?Skinny Minnie?. Photo after photo of tiny waisted girls in beautiful clothes made me self-conscious, something that I?ve never really felt before, as I?m quite comfortable with who I am.

So I decided to write an email to them explaining that they never used a ?plus sized model? in their photo shoots. It was heart-felt and passionate, and in no way spiteful to the company, simply explaining that a range of models could be an effortless way to make all girls comfortable with who they are.

And then, as I was writing the email, I was unpleasantly struck by the word ?plus size?.

What does this mean? Who does this encompass? As a healthy size twelve was I now considered a ?plus size?? And then there were even more questions, such as who on earth gets to decide what is the right/normal/average/acceptable/standard/regular/typical/ordinary/characterised and standardised size that a women, or anyone should be?

I?ve never been one for stereotypes or labels, but it seems that however hard I try to ignore them, society has already decided what and who I shall be.

Well, no, I won?t stand for it. I am not a plus size. Plus what?
Plus the extra guts to stand up and tell companies they should display a range of sizes in their advertisements.
Plus the extra little confidence all females should have to wear whatever they want and not believe they?re not part of the ?ideal? weight size that society has told them they must be.
Plus the little extra fire within me to say it on behalf of all the girls out there who should be proud of who they are.
